Have you ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or out of alignment with your goals? This week, I share a transformative experience that reignited my passion and helped me reconnect with my values. After attending an Abraham Hicks workshop recently, I gained clarity on how our emotional guidance system, values, and passions are interconnected—and how they can guide us to manifest the life we desire.
If you’re looking to create a life filled with purpose and joy, it starts with understanding one simple truth: knowing your values is the foundation of everything.
1. Breaking Down to Break Through
Before heading to the Abraham Hicks event, I had an emotional breakdown—or breakthrough, depending on how you view it. I felt overwhelmed, resentful, and stuck. My business wasn’t where I wanted it to be, and I found myself spiraling into self-criticism.
But what I’ve learned over the years is this: emotions are a guide, not an enemy. My emotional outburst was my body’s way of signaling that something was off. It was a reminder that I needed to pause, reflect, and reconnect with myself.
2. The Power of Emotional Guidance
During the workshop, Abraham Hicks reminded us of a profound truth: our emotions are our internal guidance system. They tell us where we are energetically and help us align with what we truly want.
When you feel frustrated or stuck, it’s often because your values and actions are misaligned. By tapping into your emotional state and reaching for thoughts that feel better, you can shift into a higher vibration and create momentum toward your goals.
3. Rediscovering Your Values
One of the biggest takeaways from the workshop was understanding the importance of values in creating a fulfilling life. Values are the foundation for everything:
• They inform your goals.
• They guide your decisions.
• They shape the way you spend your time and energy.
When we’re unclear about our values, we live by default rather than design. But when we take the time to define what’s truly important, we can align our lives—and our manifestations—with those values.
4. Practical Exercise: Define Your Values
To gain clarity, I sat down and journaled my current values. Here are a few examples from my list:
• Personal and spiritual development: This is at the core of who I am and what I do.
• Freedom and flexibility: I value working from home and being there for my kids.
• Quality time: I love slow mornings, meaningful friendships, and beach walks.
• Simple joys: A great espresso, a good book, or indulging in seafood at a nice restaurant.
This exercise helped me realize that my life is already aligned with many of my values. The awareness shifted my perspective from lack to abundance, even as I continue to work toward larger goals.
5. Aligning Values with Goals and Manifestations
Abraham Hicks emphasizes that clarity about what you value allows the universe to bring you the experiences, people, and opportunities that match your desires. But this clarity also requires action on your part.
Here’s how to start aligning your values with your goals:
1. Get specific: Write down what you value most in your life right now.
2. Evaluate alignment: Are your actions and goals in harmony with these values?
3. Set clear intentions: Use your values to define what you want to manifest.
4. Trust the process: The universe is always working on your behalf, but you need to remain in a state of receiving by staying aligned with your values.
6. Your Emotional Guidance System in Action
One of the most powerful lessons I learned was that our emotions help us recognize when we’re out of alignment. Frustration, resentment, or sadness aren’t “bad” emotions—they’re cues.
For example, if you feel disconnected from your passion, ask yourself:
• What does passion feel like to me?
• When was the last time I felt passionate?
• What values were present in that experience?
By reconnecting with the feeling of passion and aligning your actions with your values, you create a positive feedback loop of thought, emotion, and behavior.
7. The Law of Attraction and Values
Manifestation begins with clarity. Abraham Hicks teaches that the law of attraction follows three steps:
1. Ask: Define what you want by understanding your values.
2. Believe: Trust that the universe is aligning everything in your favor.
3. Receive: Align with your desires by staying in a state of gratitude and expectation.
By clarifying my values, I was able to define what success looks like for me—not just externally, but internally. I realized I’m already living many aspects of my dream life, and this awareness fuels my faith in the manifestation process.
8. Your Turn: Start with Your Values
If you’re ready to create a life you love, start by defining your values. Here’s a simple exercise to guide you:
1. Reflect on different areas of your life (e.g., career, health, relationships).
2. Write down what’s most important to you in each area.
3. Ask yourself, “How aligned am I with these values right now?”
4. Identify one small action you can take this week to honor your values.
Conclusion:
Values are the foundation of a well-lived life. When you’re clear on what matters most to you, you can align your actions, passions, and goals with those values—and the universe will meet you halfway.
Take the time to reconnect with your values this week. Define them, honor them, and let them guide you toward designing a life you truly love.
